In Italy, the onions of this variety are called “cipollini” and are traditionally baked in the oven or marinated not chopped. Can also be eaten fresh – because of their mild taste, they are very suitable for salads. Vegetation period – 120 days after sowing. Bulbs are flat, small, 3.5–6 cm in diameter. It is also possible to grow larger bulbs by leaving larger distances between the plants. After harvest, it can be stored for about 5 months.
