Perennials with sturdy stems and beautiful, linear leaves. The wonderfully fragrant flowers are rather large, single or clustered. Daffodils are classified according to their flower shape into narrow-cupped and cyclamineus, broad-cupped and double, split corona, poetic and triandrus. By choosing different varieties, flowering can be extended from the end of March to the beginning of June. The traditional flower colours are white and yellow. Daffodils grow best in moderately moist and fertile soils. They can be planted in full sun or partial shade and bloom later under trees, but the brightly coloured flowers do not fade. It is recommended that daffodil bulbs are replanted every 45 years, as the flowers get smaller and the plant is less likely to flower over time. Daffodil bulbs are planted in mid-September at a depth of 2-3 bulbs depending on the soil. These beautiful flowers do not compete with other plants in the garden and can be arranged in rock gardens, pots or other decorative areas. They are usually planted in groups, less often singly. By choosing daffodils of different colours and heights, you can create a beautiful spring flower bed.
