Narcissus (Daffodils) are perennials with strong stems and beautiful, linear leaves. Fragrant blooms are quite large, solitary or concentrated. According to the shape of the blooms, daffodils are divided into long cup (trumpet) and cyclamineus, large cup and double, tazetta, poeticus, and traindrus narcissus. By selecting different varieties, flowering can be extended from late March to early June. Traditional colours of the blooms are white and yellow. Daffodils grow best in moderately humid and fertile soil. Can be planted in the sun or partial shade if grown under the trees, the plants produce blooms later, but blooms retain bright colour. It is recommended to transplant daffodil bulbs every 4-5 years, as afterwards, the blooms become smaller and the plant produces less blooms. Daffodil bulbs are planted in mid-September, at a depth of 2-3 bulbs, depending on the soil. These gorgeous flowers do not compete with other garden plants and can be planted in rock gardens, pots or other decorative areas. Usually planted in groups, less often as single plants. By selecting daffodils of different colours and heights, it is possible to create a gorgeous spring flower garden.
