Medium-early variety. It is planted as seedlings or sown directly into soil. Harvested in 90 days, however, this variety can be grown for “baby” turnips, and then it can be harvested in 7–8 weeks after seed germination when turnips reach the size of a tennis ball. Roots are round, flesh is yellowish, juicy, mild tasting and faintly sweet. Raw, boiled, canned turnips are used for food. Young turnip leaves rich in vitamins and minerals can be also consumed.
