LETTUCE MINIKO

Early iceberg lettuce variety. Produces small heads weighting 400 g. The variety is appreciated for crispy, delicious leaves without bitter taste. Does not wilt for long periods after cutting, can be kept in refrigerator at +3–5 °C. Grown for spring, summer and autumn harvesting outdoors and in greenhouses. Seedlings with 5–6 true leaves should be transplanted to permanent growing location. Should be planted 20 x 25 cm apart, not deeper than previously. If planted too deep, lettuce produces small heads. For early harvesting, growing lettuce seedlings is recommended. If sown directly into the soil, thinning is recommended. This way, larger leaf rosette and higher yield will be produced. Can be harvested in 50–65 days.
