LETTUCE MELVINE

Early, high-yielding lettuce variety resistant to diseases. Light green foliage, delicious, slow to overgrow. Does not wilt for long periods after cutting, can be kept in refrigerator at +3–5 °C. Grown for spring, summer and autumn harvesting outdoors and in greenhouses. Seedlings with 5–6 true leaves should be transplanted to permanent growing location. Should be planted 20 x 25 cm apart, not deeper than previously. For early harvesting, growing lettuce seedlings is recommended. If sown directly into the soil, thinning is recommended. This way, larger leaf rosette and higher yield will be produced. Can be harvested in 45–55 days.
Pelleted seeds, coated with binding mix. To promote germination, the surface of the soil must be moist.
20 seeds (if seedlings are planted) for 1 m2 area – predicted yield under favourable growing conditions 3–4 kg.
