PANSY SPRING STARS
These biennial flowers are suitable for planting in flower beds, balconies, pots and on graves. Pansies are favoured for their prolonged autumn blooming and early spring blossoms. Under favourable conditions, they continue to flower until the end of November. Can be cultivated in pots, window boxes and flower beds. Deadheading is recommended to encourage increased flowering. Pansies have robust and abundant roots, making them easily transplantable. Pansies prefer fertile, moist loamy soil and a sunny or semi-shady location. During the growing season, pansies should be fertilised three times using a complex mineral fertiliser, with a recommended rate of 20 g/m². The initial fertilisation should be administered two weeks after planting.
A quantity of 28 seeds is sufficient to cover a flower bed measuring 1–1.5 m² or to plant four pots.
