Perennial flowers that can be grown in flowerbeds, rock gardens or in a pot at home. Their flowers have pleasant fragrance. Hyacinths thrive in a sunny or slightly shady place that is protected from north winds. Growing in small groups of 5– 7 bulbs looks best. The soil surface must be slightly inclined to allow excess water from melting snow or rain to flow down easily, as this may be harmful to the bulbs. Proper fertilisation of Hyacinths is very important. Manure, compost, green fertilisers (or siderates), and other organic fertilisers can be used to fertilise non-humic soil. Plants stay in soil over winter, can grow in the same place for years.
