Purpose: Soil improver used to enhance soil quality. It is incorporated into the soil or substrate for planting outdoor and greenhouse vegetables, flowers, and other indoor plants, ornamental plants, berry bushes, and fruit trees. Suitable for various plants in hydroponics.
Vermiculite retains moisture, protects against diseases, improves air circulation in the root zone, and fixes the nutrients for plant nutrition. The key characteristic of vermiculite is moisture retention in the soil, making it suitable for use as a soil conditioner. Vermiculite granules can absorb up to 3-4 times more water than own weight. For comprehensive benefits, it is recommended to use vermiculite and perlite together (up to 30% of the substrate or soil): vermiculite retains more moisture and gradually releases it to the plants, thus protecting them from drying out, while a substrate enhanced with perlite does not compress plant roots, allowing easy air circulation to reach them.
Recommendations for use: when sowing seeds, planting seedlings, bulbs, or young plants, mix vermiculite with the substrate or soil in a ratio of 1:3 (1 part vermiculite: 3 parts growing medium). For outdoor plants grown in soil and greenhouses, it is recommended to incorporate vermiculite into the soil at a ratio of 1:3. For pot and balcony plants, mix 1:3 with substrate or soil.
